The mission of The Glendon Association is to save lives and enhance mental health by addressing the social problems of suicide, child abuse, violence, and troubled interpersonal relationships.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit mental health organization, Glendon’s goal for more than 30 years has been to provide research and education in the areas of self-development, self-destructive behavior, suicide and violence, parenting, and relationships.

All of Glendon’s funding and efforts go to:


  • Understanding and preventing suicide and violence,
  • Improving parenting and  interpersonal relationships
  • Getting vital psychological information and tools to mental health professionals and the public.

Glendon’s staff, led by licensed psychologists and experts in their field, conduct educational seminars, workshops, eCourses, and Webinars for mental health professionals and for the public, concerning suicide and violence prevention as well as therapy training. 


Glendon produces books, articles and award-winning film documentaries that offer an in-depth discussion of Glendon’s major findings and areas of expertise.

Glendon further provides free public education to schools, mental health agencies, hospitals, and more.
